Interview two persons in a nursing management role, such as a Charge Nurse/Team Leader, Head Nurse/Manager, Director of Nursing, or Chief Nursing Officer. One person needs to be in a nurse management position less than two years, and one person needs to be in nurse management for at least three years.
In your interviews, ask each person the following questions:
o What are the qualifications for your management position?
o What type of training did you experience for this position?
o What skills are there to master?
o What were some challenges/ road blocks and how were these overcome?
o What successes/ accomplishments have you had and how did they come about?
